Nata Garakanidze holds MA Degree in International Relations from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), MA Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Malmo University, Sweden, and PhD Degree from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Apart from that, Nata Garakanidze has received the Postgraduate Diploma from the Estonian School of Diplomacy. She has held various positions in both the public sector and international companies.
