INTERNATIONALIZATION
Commitment to global engagement and mindset is deeply rooted in New Vision University’s mission and vision, and shared by the university community. NVU views education, research, innovation and social service as the catalyst of positive global change, while internationalization of university activities as the integral part of the process.
Internationalization of Learning and Teaching
The diverse body of students and academic staff is the embodiment of the university values and aspirations. With more than 80% of students and graduates representing more than 90 countries and more than third of the teaching staff being international, NVU celebrates the diversity, fosters an inclusive environment and contributes to the formation of community of understanding and collaboration.
One of the goals of NVU is to ensure that the students and staff are the part of international community of learners even without leaving the NVU campus, however, university appreciates the transformative power of international experiences and views international mobility of students and staff as the way of enriching their education and fostering global mindset. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in staff and student exchange programs, supported by various partnership agreements. Global Curricula
NVU develops study programs based on the global demands, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the skills, knowledge and values in-line with the global market and society needs. Global curricula, for NVU, together with the content of the programs, means development of the global mindset among graduates, embracing university values such as openness, diversity, equality and equity. University programs reflect on the pressing global challenges preparing students to contribute solving them. Inclusion of UN sustainable development goals in the curricula as the general competence course is one of the many ways for NVU to enact its vision through teaching.
UK Academic Team
Engagement of global expertise in program development is one of the tools for developing globally recognizable curricula. New Vision University (NVU) UK academic team, comprising senior NHS UK medical consultants, ensures continuous collaboration and exchange of medical experience according to the UK standards and GMC requirements for the NVU Medical Doctor program curriculum and related activities. Clinical Rotations Abroad
With the view to ensure diverse clinical practices and exposure to a wide range of clinical cases, School of Medicine at New Vision University offers clinical rotations abroad to its students in such countries as the UK, the USA, South Africa, Spain etc. Learn more on how to apply for clinical rotations abroad here.
Global Presence – UK campus
One of the significant milestones of NVU global presence journey was acquisition of the campus in Derby, UK in 2020.
The 4100 m2 19th century Gothic style building is situated on the crossroads of Britain's key routes in proximity to Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester and Birmingham. Prior to NVU's ownership, the University of Derby School of Arts was located there.
After the renovation works are completed, the Derby Campus will welcome students with its state-of-the-art facilities, modern teaching auditoriums, equipped exams center offering multifaceted education opportunities for the students from the UK and all over the world.
International Research
While university research is focused on solving global challenges, international cooperation is one of the enablers of the process. NVU promotes community-based research and collaboration as the way of addressing pressing issues on an international scale, with a strong belief that knowledge and innovation is the global commodity. Outreach and Global Goals
Apart from research projects, NVU implements international projects aimed at capacity building and societal engagement on national and international scale, through cooperation with international partners and donor organizations. You can learn more on university projects here.
Recognizing the UN Sustainable Development goals as the global roadmap for the better tomorrow and solving global challenges, contributing to attainment of the UN SDGs is one of the overarching strategic priorities of the University and is the part of strategic projects, goals and overall activities to the university. Management
Internationalization of the above processes is not possible without the sound management. NVU ensures that university policies and practices correspond to the university vision and international good practice of management in higher education, through partnerships and continuous development of the processes in line with the global trends. Among other associations, New Vision University is a member of EFQM - a global network with 350 members having a common mission to manage cultural change and digital transformation aimed at delivering positive performance and meaningful benefits for all key stakeholders.
