What we've done
CAKES AND CONSULTATION
On March 29th, 2024, NVU organized the Cakes and Consultation event, an interactive workshop, aimed at enhancing the OSCE (objective structured clinical examination) skills of medical students in Family Medicine.
The event brought a lot of participants and volunteers with hands on learning experience under the guidance of Dr Nino Gelashvili. The participants engaged in a structured exercise where they took turns gathering patient histories and working through laboratory values.
Afterwards, the groups discussed possible diagnosis, considering differential diagnoses before concluding.

ENCEPHALON
Encephalon was a collaborative event with EduGradient, held at NVU. A hands-on dissection workshop focused on the brain, specifically the corpus callosum. Participants delved into the complexities of corpus callosotomy and gained a comprehensive understanding of the brain's ventricles and various parts.
Complementing this was an engaging neuro-radiology team quiz, which fostered a spirit of friendly competition and deepened participants' understanding of brain imaging.
Added to the interactive nature of the event, an Electroencephalography (EEG) workshop session was led by the EduMentors and participants were guided through the intricacies of reading EEG reports, with ample worksheets provided for further study and practice.
MediConnect & MEDICINEFLIX
On September 14, 2023, MediConnect: Uniting Medical, was held at the NVU Health Hub.
The event aimed to bring students from different universities and backgrounds together to connect, share ideas, and build friendships. A total of 55 students from various universities across Georgia joined, making it a lively and interactive gathering.
The fun continued the following week with Medicineflix, where students came together to watch "Contagion". The friendly atmosphere made it easy for everyone to bond and have a good time.
We hope these events left everyone with happy memories and stronger connections in our medical community.

GIMSOC MIXER
The GIMSOC Mixer was a lively networking event held at New Vision University during the Fall 2023-24 semester. Organized by the Ken Walker International University GIMSOC team, the event aimed to foster connections and collaboration among the GIMSOC executives.
With over 55 attendees, the mixer featured engaging activities such as art therapy sessions, which provided a creative outlet for participants to relax and explore their personalities through art. The event also included fun games like art charades and a human scavenger hunt, encouraging teamwork and friendly competition among the executives.
