Vera Okuneva was awarded a Ph.D. in life science by Ilia State University (2013). She started her research career as a Research Assistant at the Neuroanatomy Department of the Institute of Physiology (2006-2013). From 2013-2022, she worked as a forensics biologist at Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau. Currently, she is a senior scientist at Carl Zeiss’s education and research center at NVU.
