Valentina Rita Scotti
Professor in Comparative Public Law

vlentina Rita Scotti holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Public Law (University of Siena, Italy) and a Master’s Degree in International Relations (LUISS, Rome, Italy). She is an Associate Professor in Comparative Public Law at the European Law and Governance School of the European Public Law Organization (Athens, Greece) and a Permanent Visiting Professor at the Academia Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Arteaga, Mexico).

Previously, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Law School of Koç University (Istanbul, Turkey), where she has held courses in ‘Introduction to Constitutional Law’ and ‘Gender-based Discrimination and Law’, and as a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Political Science of LUISS, where she worked also as an adjunct professor in Comparative Public Law and in History and Institutions of Islamic Countries. She has also lectured in several international courses as well as in Jean Monnet Modules and as a Temporary Professor for the Italian National School of Administration.

She extensively participated in international research projects and conferences and has been a part of numerous organizing committees for international symposiums. For the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL-AIDC) she co-chairs the Research Group ‘Gender and Constitutions’ and is a member of the Interest Group on Foreign Precedents. She is also a member of the Koç University’s Center for Gender Studies (Koç-Kam) and of the LUISS Centro Studi sul Parlamento – CESP.
