Nimala-Raj is Chancellor of New Vision University - UK Campus (NVU-UK) and Professor in Family Medicine and Anatomy at the NVU since January 03, 2020. He is Provost of the NVU UK faculty and coordinates the educational process, clinical rotations, and internships in the UK. He is a Charismatic leader in medical academics, school, and in Clinical & Corporate medicine. He is a Senior Physician in the NHS, holds GLOBAL positions in corporate ventures, and is involved in private medical hospitals. Teaching is his passion, and he has been an ardent anatomy teacher for medical students. He has been involved in Caribbean medical schools since 1996, with 3 of them. Later, he gained professor status and was in various Key positions at the board level of the Caribbean and Dean for 7 years.

More recently, he was appointed UK Chancellor of NVU, a position he has held for the past four months, helping to further strengthen academic ties between the UK and Georgia. He also takes an active role in selecting and interviewing senior academic staff, including candidates for Provost, Director of Research & Development – Clinical Trials, UK Deans, and Professors.

Professor Nimal-Raj continues to champion excellence in teaching, cross-border academic partnerships, and the professional development of future medical practitioners.
