Sureyya Yigit

Professor in Politics and International Relations

Sureyya Yigit is a tenured Professor of Politics and International Relations. He received his B.Sc. (Econ) in International Relations from the London School of Economics, his M.Phil in International Relations from Cambridge University, and his PhD from Donetsk National University. He has lectured at several universities in Scandinavia, Turkey, and Central Asia.

His research interests focus on Borders, Multipolarity, British politics, Central Asian foreign policy, and post-communist transition. He is a senior consultant to ZDS Women’s Democracy Network in the Kyrgyz Republic. His most recent books are “Rising Powers in an Evolving Geopolitical Climate”, published in 2026; “Africa at Crossroads: Society, Security and Geopolitics”; and “India-Mongolia Relations: Beyond Greater Central Asia”, both published in 2024.
