Mirian Shengelaia is an experienced videographer, director, camera operator, specialized camera systems operator, and video editor with extensive expertise across multiple areas of audiovisual production. Throughout his career, he has worked as a Director of Photography (DP) for Georgia's leading television broadcasters, including Rustavi 2, the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), and TV Imedi.

 

Alongside his professional work, he has delivered training courses in video editing and cinematography, contributing to the development of emerging media professionals. He has participated in numerous national and international television productions, including Georgia: Recent History, Courier Post Scriptum, Who Wants 2000?, The Weakest Link, The Smartest, GeoBar, Face to Face with the People, The Voice Georgia, Red Zone, Psycho, and many others. For Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), he produced more than 100 documentary episodes, including the acclaimed series Reflections, ยฑ21, and Layered 2:30.

 

As a Director of Photography, Mirian has worked on six feature films. One of them, Susa, received four Grand Prix awards at international film festivals. His portfolio also includes numerous music videos, corporate and promotional films, as well as official image videos created for the World Chess Olympiad. With decades of experience in television, documentary filmmaking, feature films, and commercial production, Mirian Shengelaia combines strong technical expertise with visual storytelling and cinematic craftsmanship.
