Masood-ul-Hassan Javed holds BSc (Hons) and MSc Degrees in Physiology from Karachi University (Pakistan), an MPhil degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad (Pakistan), and a Ph.D. degree in Biology (Physiology & Biochemistry) from Middle East Technical University, Ankara (Turkey).

Some of the most recent positions held by Dr. Javed include Professor of Physiology at King Saud Bin Abdul Aziz University School of Medicine, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2013-2017); Professor of Basic Medical Sciences, Suleman Al-Rajhi University-Medical College, Saudi Arabia (2010-2013); Professor of Biochemistry, Shifa College of Medicine, Islamabad, Pakistan (1999-2001); Assistant & Associate Professor of Biochemistry, The Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan (1988-1998).

Dr. Javed started his teaching career at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan (1978-1988), where he was a Lecturer & Assistant Professor of Physiology in the Pharmacy department. He has 60 research publications related to Physiology & Biochemistry.
