Marine Vashakmadze is 30 years practicing Journalism. Since 2020 she is Euronews Georgia’s European Board Member. From 2018 she was strategy Advisor of the Georgian public broadcaster Ajara TV. From 2006, till 2018 she was Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Tbilisi Bureau Chief. From 2000 – till 2006 she was Associate Director of International Centre for Journalists (ICFJ) ProMedia II – project. ICFJ is the Washington DC-based International Centre for Journalists.

Marine is the Dean of the School of Media and Communications at New Vision University. Head of Journalism Division at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Visiting professor of Louisiana State University, Manship School of Mass Communication. Professor at the Caucasus school of Journalism and Media Management at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA); Full Professor of Media School of Caucasus University; Author of documentaries and numerous publications; She was an editor and founder of a number of Georgian newspapers and magazines; Consultant of various newly established independent media.
