Khatuna Saganelidze
Professor in Medical Rehabilitation

Khatuna Saganelidze was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences by Tbilisi State Medical University (2006). In 1997-2002 she worked as a cardiologist at the First Clinical Hospital in Tbilisi, and in 2011-2012 as a rehabilitation doctor at the Falkenburg Rehabilitation Clinic (Baden-Baden, Germany). In 2007-2011 she was the Head of the Postgraduate Education Department at the Tbilisi Medical Academy. 2012-2016 she was a Professor at Ilia State University. Khatuna Saganelidze has been an expert in the field of medical rehabilitation since 2008 at at the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Since 2014, Khatuna Saganelidze is an expert at the LEPL – National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement on the accreditation of the medical programs of the Higher Medical Education Institutions. Professor, Dean and Director of the New Vision University Clinic since 2016 at New Vision University. She is also the Founder and head of the Councile of the Organization for supporting the patients with osteogenesis imperfecta (2005); She is a monitor of the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the Public Defender's Office of Georgia since 2015, Founder and head of the Council of the Georgian Hypertherapy Association (2015). She participated in more than forty international and local trainings and conferences. Khatuna is an author of two books and dozens of scientific papers.
