Khatuna Elbakidze
Associate Professor in Information Technologies

Khatuna Elbakidze was awarded the Bachelor of Applied Mathematics degree in Mathematical Modeling by Iv. Javakhishvili State University. In 2006 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on “Mathematical modeling of linear and nonlinear processes”.

 

Since 2000 she has held different positions at I. Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics. Currently, she is a senior scientist in the Department of mathematical modeling. Since 2004, Mrs. Elbakidze has held the same position in the Department of Atmospheric Physics of M. Nodia Institute of Geophysics. From 2015-2019, she worked at the Military Scientific Technical Center DELTA as an Active impact Group leader.Mrs. Elbakidze has participated in many National and international scientific projects.

 

Within the European Council 7th framework program, she was represented as visiting scientist at the University of Calabria (Italy) and Space Research Center in Graz, Austria. Mrs. Elbakidze has published more than 90 scientific articles, and presented her works at more than 50 International workshops. She has been granted the following awards: Young Scientist Award of Georgian M. Nodia Institute of Geophysics and Geophysical Association; Young Scientist Award at ISAP2007 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation August; First place at the Republic Scientific Olympiads among students; J. Soros award as an outstanding student. She is involved in many scientific programs and organizing committees and delivers lectures at different universities for many years.
