John Pradeep Vedraj Edwin
Associate Professor in Orthopedic Surgery

Mr John Edwin completed his basic medical training in India and proceeded to complete his postgraduate Diploma in Orthopaedics. He subsequently completed DNB Orthopaedics conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India. He worked for a short stint as a Lecturer in Orthopaedics at St. John’s Medical College before embarking on his career in the UK. After completing MRCS Intercollegiate Exam at Edinburgh in 2008 he has worked at various centres of excellence including Liverpool under Prof. Simon Frostick and under Mr John Timperley at Exeter. After completing his Registrar Rotation at the South London Healthcare Trust, he completed his FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics Surgery. He received a Trauma Fellowship at Kings College Hospital and also Shoulder and Wrist/Hand Fellowship at Kings College Hospital and at Nottingham.

Mr John has been actively involved in many research projects and had supervised his fellow Registrars in his role as the Upper limb Research Coordinator. He has many National and International presentations to his credit. He has organised FRCS based teaching sessions at Kings College Hospital. Mr John has participated as invited faculty at the Kings College FRCS Revision Course and at Medway FRCS Orthopaedic Revision Course. He has been instrumental in organising world-famous faculty like Prof. Jesse Jupiter from the USA and Prof. Ofer Levy from Reading, UK to visit Kings and deliver guest lectures. Presently, he is working as a Consultant in Upper Limb surgery at Basildon University Hospital, UK.
