Professor Hassan Shehata is a global leader in obstetrics, gynaecology, and maternal medicine, dedicated to advancing women’s health and human rights. As the Senior and Global Health Vice President of RCOG, he has shaped healthcare policies and led research on recurrent miscarriages, obesity, diabetes, and obstetric cholestasis. He has also been a key advocate against FGM, developing the RCOG anti-FGM advocacy and training toolkit.
