Eter Gvineria is a Doctor of Education Sciences with extensive academic, teaching, and educational consultancy experience. In 1974, she graduated from the Faculty of Western European Languages and Literature at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, specializing in English Language and Literature. In 1987, she earned her PhD in Education Sciences from the same university, defending her doctoral dissertation entitled “A Critical Analysis of Futuristic Concepts in U.S. Pedagogy.”

Her professional and academic interests include educational theories, modern teaching and learning methods, early childhood and preschool education, child-centered and inclusive education, teacher professional development, and educational program development. She has completed numerous international academic and professional programs in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Israel, and other European countries.

Dr. Gvineria is the author and co-author of numerous academic articles, textbooks, and educational resources. Her publications address educational theories, the shift from teaching to learning paradigms, constructivism, progressivism, humanism, and developmentally appropriate teaching.
Throughout her career, she has led and participated in a range of international educational projects supported by organizations including UNICEF, USAID, the European Commission, and the Open Society Institute. These projects have focused on preschool education, inclusive education, children's rights, and improving educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and families.

Dr. Gvineria has also been actively involved in international and local professional and editorial activities. She is a member of the editorial board of the Mediterranean Journal of Education and the journal Early Childhood Education. She is fluent in Georgian, Russian, and English.
