Ekaterine Kristesashvili is an Associate Professor at the New Vision University, since 2015. Between 1999-2014 she was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the American University of Humanities. In 2017-2022, Ms.Kristesashvili held the position of Dean of the School of Politics and Diplomacy at New Vision University.
She holds Master’s Degree in International Relations (University of Kent at Canterbury, UK), as well as Master’s Degree in Political Science (Central European University, Hungary).
Ms.Kristesashvili has 25 years of work experience in the area of good governance, human rights and diplomacy. In past she was the Deputy Minister of Corrections and Legal Aid (2013-2014), Head of the International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005), Deputy Head of the Center for the Development of Media and Civil Society (1999-2000) and foreign policy desk officer (1995-1999) at State Chancellery of Georgia. She worked in international organizations including OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (2002-2004) and to Albania (2018-2019), OHCHR presence in Georgia (2006-2013), UNFPA office in Ukraine (2015-2016) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (2019). Since 2017 she is placed at the UNFPA Global Emergency Roster and since 2019 is an international Consultant on PSEA to the WB Social Development teams for selected projects in Georgia, North Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Serbia and Ukraine.
