Professor in Private Law

Davit Atabegashvili holds a Ph.D. Degree in International Commercial Transactions Security Law from the New Vision University. Also, he holds a Master’s degree in “U.S., International & Transnational Law” (LL.M) from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology (USA), and a Master & Bachelor degree in private law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).

In 2016, he participated in the course on European Union Law in Germany, organized by the Europa-Institut, Saarland University, and the Europa Academy Otzenhausen, funded by DAAD. In 2018, he also participated in the course on teaching methods in Estonia, organized by the Tartu University, Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies, funded by DESCnet.

Davit Atabegashvili is the author of about ten publications and research. Since 2005, he has been working for law companies and commercial bank. Since 2007, he is a member barrister of the Georgian Bar Association with Civil and Administrative law specialization. In 2014-2018 he had been working in the position of Students Supervisor at the Legal Aid Office of New Vision University. In 2017, he occupied the position of Assistant at NVU, School of Law. Since May 2019, he holds the position of Associate Professor in Private Law, at New Vision University, School of Law.
