Dr A. Moorthy is a consultant Rheumatologist at University hospitals of Leicester NHS trust and also Hon Associate Professor at the University of Leicester.

He runs dedicated Spondyloarthritis service at this busy teaching hospital and also the recipient of NASS patient choice Best Rheumatologist award in 2018 for this service. Dr Moorthy is actively involved in undergraduates and postgraduate Medical Education teaching and also a Regional specialty advisor for Rheumatology at the Royal College of Physicians. He is actively involved in clinical research and was invited speaker for National and international Rheumatology meetings. Dr Moorthy's research interest includes Ethnic variation and Rheumatic diseases, Pregnancy, and Rheumatic diseases.

Dr Moorthy has published his research work extensively including COVID19 in peer-reviewed Journals.
