Angela Magnanini

Professor in Education Sciences

Angela Magnanini, PhD, is a Professor in the field of Educational Sciences at New Vision University and an Associate Professor of Special Education and Pedagogy (SSD: M-PED/03) in the Department of Sport, Health, and Humanities at the University of Rome “Foro Italico.” She is the Director of the Specialization Course in Learning Support and serves as the Dean’s Delegate for Disability and Inclusion.

 

She regularly teaches courses in Pedagogy, Pedagogy for Students with Special Educational Needs, and Pedagogy of Integrated Sport within undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as in professional development and teacher training courses for school teachers. She is also a member of the PhD program in Human Movement and Sport Sciences.

 

Angela Magnanini is a member of the editorial and scientific committees of several national and international academic journals, including International Journal of Science, Culture and Sport, Journal of Applied Sports Science, and Ricerche Pedagogiche. She is also a member of SIPeS (Italian Society of Special Pedagogy).

 

Her main research interests include pedagogy as a process of mediation and the educational value of sports and motor activities in health education and citizenship education; the design of inclusive education and inclusive processes; the development of inclusive sports models based on joint participation and play between people with and without disabilities; and the epistemological and historical aspects of sports pedagogy and special education pedagogy.

 

Since 2000, she has been involved in the development and implementation of Baskin (integrated basketball) and integrated football.

 

She is the author of numerous national and international scholarly publications, including monographs, academic essays, and articles published in international scientific journals.
