The "SMART schools for sustainable solutions" project conducted a series of activities to promote sustainable development within schools. Firstly, workshops were designed and implemented to educate students on SDGs and project management basics, fostering discussions and hands-on activities the workshops were delivered individually for each school group, at the premises of the schools:
• September 5, 2023: LEPL - Telavi King Erekle II Public School No1;
• September 6, 2023: LEPL - Akhaltsikhe Public School No2;
• September 7, 2023: LEPL - Sagarejo Public School No3;
• September 18, 2023: LEPL - Borjomi Public School No6;
• September 22, 2023: LEPL - Dedoplistskaro Municipality Village Arkhiloskalo Public School.
Student-led project groups were formed, involving students, parents, teachers, and administrators, to develop project proposals aligned with SDGs. These projects included updating library materials, developing school yard amenities, and creating inclusive spaces for students with special needs, showcasing the diverse impact of student-led initiatives. A project showcase event held at New Vision University aimed to discuss results and share experiences, highlighting the successful implementation of sustainable development projects in participating schools, ultimately contributing to positive change within the school communities.
