COVIOCRIM is an international project coordinated by New Vision University, implemented in collaboration with University of Graz and Medical University of Graz (Austria). The project is funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) through the APPEAR programme.

Duration: March 1, 2024 – February 28, 2027

Budget: €387,270.14

Project Objectives:

• Build a professional network of practitioners and first responders to effectively address violence against women and girls (VAWG);
• Implement interdisciplinary training programs;
• Establish a certificate program at New Vision University for professional qualification;
• Create a Legal Clinic to provide victims with quick and accessible support;
• Promote awareness and engage young professionals in combating gender-based violence.

By combining academic expertise and practical interventions, COVIOCRIM strengthens institutional capacities and fosters sustainable solutions for preventing and addressing VAWG in Georgia.
