HEALTH AND WELLBEING

The NVU Well-being Center offers free-of-charge psychological support services, including counseling, group therapy, and workshops tailored to students' needs. These services aim to increase the emotional well-being of students, promote personal growth, and address challenges that may hinder academic advancement and overall quality of life. The center fosters a secure and inclusive environment that caters to students’ mental health issues, taking into account individual and cultural characteristics.

Make an appointment for individual consultations

Both office visits (conducted in Room 203) and online sessions are available for consultations. The consultation mode can be determined based on preferences, facilitating a customized approach to meet specific needs.

Any student who feels the need to seek extra assistance can register for individual consultations with the following professionals:

Psychological consultations can help you with:

  • Difficulty transitioning to a new school or college environment, academic problems
  • Feelings of depression, loneliness, and decreased motivation
  • Grief and loss
  • Issues of traumatic experiences
  • Relationship difficulties, including roommate conflicts, family difficulties, and romantic relationship concerns
  • Symptoms of stress and anxiety
  • Thoughts of harming self or others
  • Questions related to acculturation and diversity
  • Concerns about the relationship with body image
  • Unhealthy substance use

Join group sessions

The center provides group psychological sessions to establish a nurturing and supportive environment for students who are dealing with similar challenges. This therapeutic approach allows participants to form connections, openly share their experiences, gain valuable insights, and develop effective coping strategies. Sessions are consistently scheduled for Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. throughout the academic term in Room 203. To reserve a spot in a session, interested students are kindly requested to contact the Well-Being Center via email at wellbeing@newvision.ge.


Purpose-Based Training and Workshops

NVU is dedicated to promoting students' personal growth and development by providing purpose-based training and workshops. These interactive and engaging sessions are specifically designed to assist participants in exploring their personal values, aspirations, and goals. Through practical exercises and thought-provoking activities, attendees can gain valuable clarity, enhance their self-awareness, and acquire essential skills to align their actions with their purpose. The Well-Being Center periodically organizes these training sessions and workshops, and the schedules for such events are announced well in advance. The designated venue for these purpose-based sessions is the Health Hub Coworking Space at Bokhua Street 9.


Healthcare Services

In case of need of medical services, you can seek medical advice and services at New Vision Health Hub, NVU eco-campus, N. Bokhua Str. 9 (contact number: 032 219 49 90) and at New Vision University Hospital, Lubliana Str. 13/ Mikheil Chiaureli Str. 6 (contact number: 032 248 72 27). New Vision Health Hub and New Vision University Hospital offer full range of medical services, if you are not sure in the specialization of the doctor you need to seek to, please first consult the general physician who will provide you with guidance and will redirect you to the specialist or laboratory services you require.

Students who have New Vision Insurance’s health insurance, please contact your insurance officer (032 2 501 501; info@nvi.ge ) and book a consultation with your personal doctor.
