ABOUT NVU
New Vision University (NVU) aims to expand human vision through promotion of education, research and innovation. NVU’s motto is “Inspire to care” and the university inspires individuals to advance and share knowledge, skills and values to contribute to the well-being of society. NVU is committed to social responsibility and also promotes equal access to education for students from around the world.
NVU was Founded in 2013, in Tbilisi, Georgia, and has become one of the most international universities in the region, with more than third of faculty being international and becoming a destination of more than 5000 students and alumni from 90 countries.
NVU has 7 schools offering undergraduate and graduate/postgraduate study programs: Law, Business and IT, Politics and Diplomacy, Medicine, Dentistry, Media and Communication, Sports Science.
Learning and Teaching for the Future
NVU firmly believes in learning being an individual path for learners, and university students benefit from a personalized approach to education. Teaching methods and activities aim at promoting advancement of practical, real-world skills, together with deep theoretical knowledge and understanding, and shaping university society’s shared values. University focuses on spiral learning and engages students in learning by doing, as well as learning by teaching exercises. Community-driven research
Research is one of the tools for achieving NVU’s aim in supporting societal development and contributing to solving global problems. NVU research laboratories with leading modern technologies in the region, include Zeiss Microscopy Education and Research Center, Biomedicine Research laboratory and Blood Bank, and Genetics Laboratory. NVU publishes various scientific series and journals addressing European integration, legal reforms, cultural and societal encounters.
Serving society through endowments
New Vision University is a healthcare services provider in various areas. NVU has established New Vision University Hospital, a Dental, Dermatology and Rehabilitation centers to support health and well-being of society and aim at increasing access to healthcare. Among the recent projects, there are free check-up projects, including a personalized healthcare for women, and dental check-up and treatment for the vulnerable groups. University supports growth of the economy and job market in the country through university-owned enterprises, including an insurance company, a leasing company and business restructuring fund. New Vision Leasing encourages the use of renewable energy through financing the purchase of solar energy panels, and development of film production, aiming at developing film industry, as well as creation of high-valued jobs in the country. NVU is one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial universities in the region.
University Legal Aid Clinic, provides free legal advice, counselling and support to the community members. University Effective Communication Center and Legal Ethics Chair provide support in establishment of mediation system country-wide and promotion of ethical values, respectively.
Supporting sports
NVU considers sports as a tool for social change and well-being of community. It strives to support both amateur and professional sports, as well as thereof accessibility for vulnerable groups. NVU is an owner of a regional football club, first international football academy for children in the country running in partnership with Internazionale Milano and a futsal club. NVU is also a co-founder of the children’s parasport association alongside with the Georgian Paralympic Committee.
