TRAINING OF TRAINERS IN PRACTICAL LEGAL SKILLS
On September 21-23, a training of trainers in practical legal skills was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli state university.
The training aimed to strengthen the teaching of practical skills in law schools and was attended by heads of legal aid clinics, as well as professors, teachers and invited lecturers of different universities.
The training was conducted by a group of experts from the Practical Skills Center based at NVU – Sophio Chachava, Ana Loria, Tamar Khatiashvili and Natalia Akhaladze. The team of experts shared with the participants the syllabus developed within the framework of the project and different types of learning materials, which will contribute to the basic teaching of legal research and writing, conducting an interview with a client, negotiation, mediation, procedural skills and professional ethics for undergraduate students.
In addition, the workshop was held in the methods of teaching law for professors, invited lecturers and clinical professors of the clinic of practical law and the direction of private law. The interest and willingness to deepen further cooperation was expressed within the framework of the visit.
