
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR SCHOOLS: PROJECT MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
On June 19, New Vision University hosted a project management workshop within the framework of the project "Sustainable Development for Schools".
Two schools of Tbilisi – Georgian Junkers Tbilisi N52 Public School and Tbilisi German International School are participating in the pilot project.
At the initial stage of the project, working groups have been established In both schools, comprising students, parents, teachers, as well as representatives from the school administration and municipality. Then they assessed the needs of schools in terms of sustainable development.
During the workshop, groups showcased school needs analysis presentations, shared ideas, and transformed them into tangible projects with the guidance of mentors.
Additionally, group activities were held during the day to familiarize participants with project management principles and best practices of sustainable development for schools.
At the end of the productive day, the participants were awarded certificates and various eco-friendly gifts.
The workshop was held with the participation of representatives from partner organizations - UN Global Compact Network Georgia and ProCredit Bank
The workshop was the second activity of the project. The first activity was hosted by ProCredit Bank where the implementing organizations delivered presentations on best practices of sustainability and environmental protection. Within the framework of the Eco Tour, ProCredit Bank introduced the visitors to examples of renewable energy use, efficient waste management and responsible consumption.
