PUBLIC SEMINAR BY PROFESSOR VALERI BARSEGOV FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS

On June 16, at 17:30, NVU will host a public seminar by Valeri Barsegov, professor of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Subject of the seminar: "modeling cell division". Attendance is open for university students and academic staff, as well as anyone interested in the topic.

Prof. Barsegov joined the Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2005. He develops theoretical and computational approaches to explore complex biological systems. His research has contributed to the emergence of new fields of research: (i) biomechanics of hemostasis/thrombosis. The professor holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as postdoctoral degrees from the University of Rochester and the University of Maryland.
After the seminar, from 18:30 to 19:30, interested guests will have the opportunity to talk to the professor personally in a casual setting.
