NVU HOSTED A DISCUSSION ON "GEORGIA'S EU INTEGRATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE"
On May 15, in the framework of Europe Days in Georgia, New Vision University hosted a discussion on Georgia's EU Integration and Climate Change. Michael Lüken, the invited lecturer of "Climate Change and IR", introduced approaches to address the challenges of sustainable development.
Miranda Afakidze, project coordinator of Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN), discussed the activities carried out in Georgia to combat climate change and fulfilling the obligations under the Association Agreement.
David Advadze, the representative of the Ministry of Economy in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable development, reviewed the objectives of Georgia's National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) and the importance of climate change mitigation. Members from Georgian Greens, regional non-governmental organizations, university staff and students participated in the discussion. They talked about the importance of promoting sustainable development goals and the role of educational institutions in this regard.
