
National Moot Disciplinary Hearings on Legal Ethics (1)
The New Vision University Legal Ethics Chair calls for applications of student teams for Moot Disciplinary Hearings on Legal Ethics in November 27-28, 2021. Only third- and fourth-year BA law faculty students and LLM students (except member attorneys of the Georgian Bar Association) are eligible to participate in Moot Disciplinary Hearings.
The selected teams will represent their positions at a simulated disciplinary hearing of the Arbitrators’ Ethics Commission. Moot disciplinary hearings will be conducted in two stages – preliminary rounds and finals. After the preliminary rounds, four teams will be selected for the finals. The special nominations and awards of the finalists teams will be announced during the awarding ceremony, after the finals.
The selected teams will represent their positions on the moot hearing of the Georgian Bar Association Ethics Commission. Moot Disciplinary Hearings will have two phases: After the preliminary rounds held on the first day of the Moot Court, four groups will be chosen for the finals. Special awards and nominations for finalists will be revealed after the finals, during the award ceremony.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, to ensure the safety of the participants, the Moot Disciplinary Hearings will be held online.
