On May 26, Independence Day was celebrated with a gala concert at the university. Tbilisi Youth Orchestra and String Quartet participated in the event. Young musicians performed works by Georgian and foreign composers. The second part of the musical evening was dedicated to words of congratulations by students.
The event was attended by university staff and students from many countries around the world. Professor Klaus Toika, a member of the Council of the European Neurological Society, the American Academy of Neurologists and the Royal College of Physicians in London, who is visiting Georgia, took part in the reception as a guest of honor.
