ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON LEGAL ETHICS
On May 13-14, 2021 the New Vision University (NVU) Legal Ethics Chair organized the fourth Annual Conference on Legal Ethics. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Georgia, event was held online.
During the conference, Georgian and foreign speakers/experts discussed the newest challenges in lawyers’ ethics, such as the conflict between anti-money laundering reporting and attorney-client confidentiality; Unified profession; Lawyers’ professional liability Insurance (PLI); The Ethical Obligation to be Technologically Competent; Ethical Obligations Related to the Termination of the Attorney-Client Relationship; Role of the Lawyer and Ethical Obligations in Mediation. Practitioner lawyers (Judges, GBA EC members, attorneys, mediators), professors and students attended the conference.
The conference was organized by NVU Legal Ethics Chair with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of East-West Management Institute’s (EWMI) project - Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia (PROLoG).
