A PRACTICAL SKILLS CENTER WAS ESTABLISHED AT NEW VISION UNIVERSITY

On November 16, 2022, a Practical Skills Center was established at New Vision University with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program. The aim of the center is to promote the teaching and development of practical skills in law schools.

Here, a Round Table was held on the topic - Teaching Practical Skills in Law Schools. During the meeting, practicing lawyers, representatives of law schools and clinics, as well as the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement discussed the importance of teaching practical skills as a separate and/or special course, the importance of incorporating ethical regulations into practical skills courses, and the importance of teaching practical skills as an intensive course in law clinics. In the framework of the discussion, the invited guests discussed the challenges in this direction, both from the perspective of the university and the employer. At the end of the meeting, recommendations were developed and further steps of cooperation were set.
