Memorandum of Understanding with Expertise France

New Vision University (NVU) and Expertise France have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for cooperation in the areas of social protection and labour in Georgia.

The MoU was signed by George Barkalaya, Rector of New Vision University, and Audrius Bitinas, Team Leader of Expertise France, marking the beginning of closer cooperation between the two organizations.

Expertise France is the French interministerial agency for international cooperation and development, established as part of the French Development Agency (AFD). The organization specialises in technical cooperation, supporting partner countries in areas including public policy and institutional development. Expertise France has been working in Georgia since 2016, supporting the country’s social development.

Under the agreement, NVU and Expertise France will collaborate on activities related to social protection and labour, sharing their knowledge, experience and resources. The cooperation will cover a range of areas, including labour relations, mediation, occupational health and safety, social partnership, individual employment relations, health law and social protection. Planned activities may include joint research and publications, working groups, training and educational initiatives for students, as well as conferences, seminars, webinars and workshops.

The MoU will support continued cooperation between NVU and Expertise France as part of efforts to develop Georgia’s human capital and strengthen social protection and labour practices.
