Call for Applications - Black Sea Summer University 2026

Applications are now open for the Black Sea Summer University - Security Challenges in the Black Sea Region (BSSU2026),  which will take place in Tbilisi on 13-19 July, 2026.

BSSU2026 is jointly organized by Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE, Nice University) and Institute for Policy Research and European Studies (IPRES, New Vision University). The course is designed for both Georgian and international students.

The Summer University offers a high-level study course designed for students in political science, international relations and related fields. Participants will engage in lectures, interactive seminars, discussions with experts and cultural program-excursion.

The program explores key security challenges in the Black Sea region, including:

• Perspectives of Black Sea littoral states;
• EU and NATO policies in the region;
• Georgia's Black Sea strategy;
• Energy security and sustainability challenges.

At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to obtain ECTS credits -4,5.

Dates: 13–19 July 2026.
Location: New Vision University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
