Simulation of Parliamentary Debates and Negotiations

The School of Politics and Diplomacy at New Vision University is accepting student applications to participate in a simulation of European Parliament debates and negotiations.

The main topic of the simulation will be the development of the European Union’s strategic autonomy. Following the debates and negotiations, participants will adopt a resolution regarding the establishment of a new European competence in foreign, security, and defense policy.

The event will also include a training component, during which students will gain knowledge in the following areas:

  • The European Union’s foreign and security policy;
  • The essence and purpose of strategic autonomy;
  • Analysis of the positions of supporters and opponents of strategic autonomy;
  • Decision-making procedures necessary for effective strategic autonomy, foreign, and security policy;
  • The European Parliament’s party system;
  • Processes of debates and negotiations within the European Parliament.

Participation in the simulation is open to students at the bachelor’s level from authorized higher education institutions studying Political Science, International Relations, International Law, and Law.

The event will take place on April 24-25, 2026, from 11:00 to 16:00.

Participation is free of charge.

Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of participation.

Interested students should submit the registration form by April 17.
