Dean of the School of Arts and Cultural Heritage

Levan Kharatishvili has been elected Dean of the School of Arts and Cultural Heritage at New Vision University.

He is an internationally recognized expert in cultural policy and education, a researcher, and an institutional leader with more than twenty years of experience in public governance, culture, heritage, and the management of creative industries.

From 2013 to 2021, Levan Kharatishvili served as Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Georgia. Under his leadership, the country developed its first large-scale “Culture Strategy 2025,” a national strategy for creative industries, along with a development roadmap. He also held several high-level positions within the Council of Europe, including Chair of the Steering Committee for Culture, Heritage and Landscape (CDCPP) and Vice-Chair of the Governing Board of the Cultural Routes Programme.

He is currently an official partner of the New European Bauhaus initiative and a member of the Advisory Forum of the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT).
