Legal Clinic Program on the Topic of Violence against Women

New Vision University is launching a 3-month legal clinic program focused on violence against women as part of the international project "Combating Violent Crimes Against Women and Girls (COVIOCRIME)." This program will provide medical, psychological, and legal assistance for cases of violence against women and is open to students of the 2nd and subsequent years of both the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine.

The goal of the clinic is to enable students to provide legal and medical services to women victims of violence after completing the course, and to share the knowledge they have gained with students of secondary schools.

The duration of the clinic is three months, with a start date of November 15, 2025, and an end date of February 15, 2026.

Participants will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion of the clinic.

Participation in legal clinic program is free!

The deadline to register for the clinic is November 10, 2025.
Interested candidates should register using the link provided.

Participants in the clinic program will be selected based on an interview.

Within the framework of the clinic, students will have the opportunity to study international standards for combating violence against women and the mechanisms for their protection. They will explore the psychological aspects of working in victim protection, as well as Georgian legislation and the specific protection needs of victims and survivors. Students will review actual criminal cases (while adhering to confidentiality requirements) and examine court case law,  including case law of the European Court of Human Rights. They will also learn about the mechanisms in place for protecting female victims and will hear from forensic medical experts regarding evidence collection and retrieval. Additionally, students will attend lectures and analyze practical issues related to these topics.
