Carl Zeiss Research Center Annual Symposium

On June 18, the Carl Zeiss Research Center at New Vision University presented the results of its ongoing research to the general public. The event was attended by Carl Zeiss Regional Director Guido Bauhamer, who introduced Georgian scientists to new opportunities for enhancing their research potential.

Lika Nadaraia presented innovative research conducted in Georgia titled "Thermally Treated FeCrAl Alloy as a Potential Biomaterial: Surface Characterization, Corrosion Resistance, and Cytotoxicity Studies," which was published in the high-impact international journal Biometals. Nino Khvichia spoke on the topic "Multi-scale Targeting of the Nucleus by Mammary Gland Benign and Malignant Tumors" and discussed prospects for collaboration between the Zeiss Laboratory and New Vision Genetics during her presentation. Pavle Chelidze presented research in the field of radiology and radiotherapy titled "Targeting the Nucleolus by Inducing γ-Irradiation-Induced Mitotic Catastrophe and Apoptosis: Live Cell Imaging Combined with UBTF and Fibrillarin Immunodetection."

At the end of the event, a special master class was held for young researchers and doctoral students.
