New Dean of the School of Politics and Diplomacy

Bidzina Javakhishvili will lead the School of Politics and Diplomacy from October 2024.

Bidzina, a diplomat by profession, worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia from 2004, focusing on Georgia's integration into the European Union. He served as Deputy Head of the Georgian Mission in Brussels during 2016-2018 and 2021-2024.

Bidzina holds a Master's degree in European Political Studies from the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium), in Advanced International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, and in International Law from Tbilisi State University.

He also collaborates with KULeuven as an Associate Researcher.
