Workshop for Professors to share syllabus for LLM Program

On September 23rd, the New Vision University Legal Ethics Chair conducted a meeting for law professors and attorneys from around the country to assist in the implementation of an Ethics Course at the Masters in Law level and to finalize the components of the course and syllabus.                                     The course will cover legal ethics and consist of lectures, individual and group exercises, case-based learning and role-plays. The syllabus for Masters in Law is focused on comparative analysis of domestic and international law and professional legal ethics practice.  Local, as well as foreign experts were involved in the drafting process. The New Vision University Legal Ethics Chair established a working group that included past and present members of the Georgian Ethics Commission, legal practitioners, and local and international experts. The group developed a course on Legal Ethics for LLM students with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of East-West Management Institute’s (EWMI) project Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia (PROLoG). The productive workshop was attended by dozens of law school professors and lawyers from national and state agencies.
