Movie Screening – ‘Better Call Saul’ (Disciplinary Hearing)

Legal Ethics Chair organized the second movie session on January 30th at New Vision University administrative campus for students, lawyers and other interested parties. A disciplinary hearing and lawyer’s interview with the ethics commission from ‘Better Call Saul’ (season 3, episode 5; season 4, episode 9) was shown during the session. The movie is about the criminal lawyer James McGill who transforms into his alter ego Saul Goodman during the series - a morally challenged lawyer. The episode was about disciplinary proceedings against Mr. McGill and whole trial was shown including opening statements of the parties, examination of witnesses, showing exhibits etc. After the movie session Legal Ethics Co-chair Mrs. Ana Loria held the discussion on attorney disciplinary proceedings in USA and in Georgia, comparative approach. Students were actively involved in the discussion and drew parallels between these two approaches.
