Changes to Published Material, Retraction

After publication, the author is sent an edited text and relevant metadata for final verification to minimize the possibility of changes.

Minor technical corrections after publication are made, as soon as possible, upon request to the journal, before the material is sent to the indexing system for placement. Minor errors are not corrected after indexing. Stylistic, grammatical, formulational, or other similar cases are qualified as minor errors, those which, on the whole, do not affect the content of the material or the interpretation of a particular part.

In case of a request by the author or editor for such substantial changes as the title, data to be analyzed, authors/co-authors, etc., the new version shall indicate the changed parts, and the article page shall indicate that the material has been updated, showing the reasons - “Editorial Note”. When making changes, the page numbering and the original form of indexing of references shall be preserved as much as possible; if this is not possible, a comprehensive change shall be added to the end of the material.

In exceptional cases, namely, in the event of unreliability of the results of the study or part thereof, plagiarism, discovery of revealing the primary publication elsewhere, violation of ethics (including a significant flaw in the process of acceptance for publication), or serious legal violation, the publication of the material may be withdrawn (retraction). Such a result shall be based on a reasoned decision of the editorial board.

The retraction must be accompanied by adequate, clear information to the public about the outcome and its reasons in the appropriate section of the website (see  https://publicationethics.org/sites/default/files/retraction-guidelines-cope.pdf ).
