პროფესორი საერთაშორისო ურთიერთობების მიმართულებით
2011 წელს გვანცა დავითაშვილს ავსტრიის, გრაცის უნივერსიტეტმა მიანიჭა LL.M ხარისხი (LL.M in South East European Law and European Integration, University of Graz). 2011-2012 წლებში იგი ავსტრიის კვლევით ცენტრში (Russian East European Legal Studies Centre) უმცროს მკვლევრად მუშაობდა. გვანცა ფლობს დოქტორის ხარისხს, საერთაშორისო ურთიერთობებში, ბასკეთის სახელმწიფო უნივესიტეტისგან (Universidad del Pais Vasco). 2009-2010 წლებში იყო ამერიკის იურისტთა ასოციაციის პროექტის „სამართლის კლინიკა“ კოორდინატორი, 2012-2013 წლებში მიწვეული ლექტორი „საქართველოს ტექნიკურ უნივერსიტეტში“, 2016-2017 წლებში მიწვეული ლექტორი „კავკასიის უნივერსიტეტის“ სამართლის სკოლაში. სხვადასხვა დროს მუშაობა საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციებში ექსპერტად, მათ შორის USAID და ევროპული კავშირის გრანტების ფარგლებში, აგრეთვე აქვს გამოცდილება Jean Monnet-ის პროექტებში აკადემიურ კოოდრინატორად და მონაწილედ მუშაობისა. სხვადასხვა ეტაპზე საქართველოში, სომხეთში, უკრაინაში, ესპანეთში, თურქეთსა და საფრანგეთში კითხულობდა ლექციებს მიწვეული ლექტორის სტატუსით. ამჟამად გახლავთ პროფესორი „ნიუ ვიჟენ უნივერსიტეტში“. ამასთან, სახალხო დამცველის აპარატში ადამიანის უფლებათა სწავლების დეპარტამენტის უფროსია.
