Training Modules in Mediation
20 January 2018

Co-Chairs of the Centre for Effective Communication and Leadership – Sophie Tkemaladze and Sophie Chachava prepared and delivered the 56-hour intensive training modules in mediation, organised by the Tbilisi City Court and High Council of Justice of Georgia with assistance from the European Union and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).  The mediators’ training programme was based on the international methodology, adapted to Georgia’s realities, and included a theoretical part and interactive role plays. The training participants were selected in a contest coordinated by representatives of the Tbilisi City Court and High Council of Justice of Georgia.

The new 23 mediators received their professional certificates from Giorgi Mikautadze, Secretary of the High Council of Justice; Vasil Mshvenieradze, Tbilisi City Court Chair; and Shombi Sharp, Deputy Head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Georgia, on December 19, 2017, in the Tbilisi City Court.
