A referendum on making lectures mandatory to attend
5 March 2018

On March 3, 480 students of Medical School participated in the online referendum. For several months, there are discussions among academic staff and students on the need to encourage attendance at the lectures through additional mechanisms. As an alternative, the option of so-called, blind tests, were discussed - an unexpected survey with a date being unknown in advance. However, most of the participants in the referendum (53%) supported lectures becoming mandatory. Consequently, the Academic Board will discuss the expediency of determining 70% as mandatory attendance in classes, in case the violation of which the student shall not be admitted to the final examination.
