Expansion of Palliative Care Unit
9 February 2018

Existing demand in the country on these specific services encouraged the expansion of the Palliative Care Unit at the New Vision University Hospital.

Considering the social responsibility upheld by the university, it is considered necessary to expand hospital units, which are less likely to be offered in other hospitals because of the poor funding.

Access to the palliative care is provided by a special state program and its basic package does not require patient’s financial participation.

The main task of palliative care is to provide psychosocial assistance to patients through removal of pain and other pathological symptoms.
