Khatuna Saganelidze holds a PhD degree from Tbilisi State Medical University (2006). In 1997-2002 she worked as a cardiologist in Tbilisi clinical hospital (num.1), and as a doctor rehabilitologist in Falgenburg rehabilitation center (Baden-Baden, Germany). In 2007-2011 she was head of postgraduate education department in Tbilisi State Medical Academy. Since 2008 she is a medical rehabilitation expert at the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Since 2014 Khatuna Saganelidze is an expert at the LEPL – National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement on the accreditation of the medical programs of the Higher Medical Education Institutions. Since 2016 she has been the head of the strategic development unit at New Vision University. Khatuna Saganelidze is the founder of the Organization for supporting the patients with osteogenesis imperfecta and the head of the council(2005). She is also the founder of the Hippotherapy Association and the head of the Council(2015). Khatuna Saganelidze has participated is more than forty international and national trainings and conferences. She is also the author of the two books, as well as the author of the dozens of scientific papers.
