On June 15, a panel discussion regarding the USA was organized by a journal ‘Diplomat’ at Hotel Biltmore. Clark Plexico, a former North Carolina State Senator and currently NVU Associate Professor at the School of Politics and Diplomacy, participated in discussion.
Senator Plexico has worked in the presidential campaigns of Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, John Kerry and Barack Obama. Other panelists were: Elizabeth Rood, acting US Ambassador of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili, First Vice Speaker of Parliament of Georgia, David Hoffman, acting Mission Director for USAID, and Gvaram Khandamishvili, head of the division of USA Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
American-Georgian relations and perspectives were discussed at the event.
